COVID Update
& the Procedures We Have Put in Place
We are OPEN for in-house dining and we want to share the steps we are taking to ensure the utmost safety of our employees and guests during this transition, as well as what you can do to help make sure it goes smoothly for all.
* We strongly recommend Reservations, particularly for dinner service, as to limit the number of diners in the restaurant as efficiently as possible and maintain social distancing. (You may do so at oldstonesteakhouse.com, opentable.com, or by calling the restaurant at 704-825-9995.) If there is a wait for a table, we ask that you please wait outside or in your car in consideration of others. We will text or call you when your table is ready.
*Please keep 6-ft distance between yourself and others outside your party, and be respectful of others’ comfort zones.
And lastly, please be patient with us through this change as we work hard to adapt to this new normal and serve you as safely as possible. Service may be delayed or not as consistent as we have come to pride ourselves on, due to the constant learning curve that this situation entails. We will do our very best to serve you in the safest way, while providing you the food you love! We are so happy to see you back!
Here are practices and safety precautions we have put in place:
+ Limiting restaurant capacity to 50% to meet the Phase 2 restrictions.
+ Spacing out of tables, both inside the dining room and outside on the patio, to meet state recommendations.
+ Formal staff training regarding new standards, including completion of Count on Me NC Business Training Modules, NC DHHS, and ServSafe.
+ Health screening of all employees upon entering the workplace
+ Utilizing servers who take orders and deliver food and drinks only. Dedicated staff will be bussing tables and handling payment.
+ Diners may choose between ordering through a server, or from their table through the Old Stone Steakhouse app on their phone, if preferred.
+ Use of EPA and CDC registered sanitizer on all restaurant surfaces, proven to kill COVID-19 in 45 seconds.
+ Sanitation stations added throughout the establishment – at the entrance for guest use, between the restrooms for general use, and within the server station.
+ Minimizing the items on each tabletop for limited contact.
+ One-time use, recycled paper menus
+ Signage reminding guests of social distancing practices
+ Although face masks have been recommended, they are not required. After much thought and observation, we believe the practicality of wearing a mask for our staff would be more detrimental than beneficial. This is due to the amount of hand to face contact caused by shifting and adjusting of the mask with one’s hands. Our patrons are welcome to make whatever personal decision they are most comfortable with. Gloves will be utilized by food runners on a strict one-time-use basis. We always require frequent hand washing and use of sanitizer by all staff.
We are still open for take-out and curbside, if that is your preferred method of dining. And our online ordering system is back up at www.oldstonesteakhouse.com.
